Zonasa 2016
Zonasa 2017 – 2018
It is a lovely scene in McGAN’S when it comes to preparations. The students toil in mud to bring the best of the best sheets and try something out of the box. The sheets, paintings, rendering etc are given a once-over and subsequently a million-over. Perfection is the goal and perfection was to be achieved. Zonasa is no cake walk for the organizers, participants or the college that sends their hopeful. In the three day event, each day unfolded with series of workshops and seminars and the convention kept the students preoccupied throughout the day. Held on October 8th, the students of SRM, the host college were eager to win over all the Zone 6 colleges with their charismatic hospitality and enthusiasm. They did win us all over but we won back the championship overall.
Zonasa – 2019
ZONASA, Zonal NASA Convention, under the National Association of Students of Architecture is an annual event which includes a wide range of workshops, seminars and a tough competition for various trophies between architecture colleges in TamilNadu and Kerala. Zonasa this year was hosted by Marian College of Architecture and Planning, Trivandrum from the 25th to 29th of October. A team of 27 students from our college participated in this three day event. The students put in a lot of effort and presented the best of their works. Our college bagged Citation for the Reuben’s trophy and Convention trophy received.

McGAN’S Ooty School of Architecture, an established Architecture and Design Institute situated in the scenic landscape of The Nilgiris in South India has fast picked up pace since it’s establishment in 2008, proving to be a strong competitor for other design institutes. This has prompted McGAN’S to secure the 15th rank among national private Architecture institutes and 1st rank among private colleges in Tamil Nadu in the Outlook – ICARE Professional College Rankings 2020. The ranking was based on rigorous research-based data validation where institutions across the country were invited to fill in a detailed questionnaire. Institutions were assessed on parameters such as academic and research excellence and industry interface among other factors. The conclusion was drawn keeping in view the importance of generating industry-ready candidates, with the highest weightage allocated to infrastructure, placements and facilities. At McGAN’S, the focus lies on providing a student-centric environment, achieved through quality infrastructure and interactive studios, creating an all-around learning experience. The faculty at McGAN’S are highly qualified professionals with work experience ranging from landscape design and sustainability to urban design. Every candidate is exposed to a one-on-one interaction with the faculty, equipping them with technical and leadership skills before stepping out into the professional world.
